2012 Conference Hotel and special pricing options:
The Brimacombe Continuous Casting Course will be held in the Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harbourside. The hotel is located at 1133 West Hasting Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 3T3. Attendees are urged to stay at this hotel for maximum convenience and ease of meeting the relatively tight Course schedule.
Accordingly, a block of rooms with a reduced daily rate has been set aside specifically for Course attendees. The reduced rate is only guaranteed for room reservations made prior to April 1. After that date, the hotel is not obligated to honour the reduced rate. Consequently, it is advisable to make reservations prior to April 1, 2012. Reserving a room does not automatically register you for the Course, you must register for the Course separately.
There are two choices of rooms in the block: “City View,” at a rate of CD$229 per day, and “Harbour View,” at a rate of CD$289. There is no basic difference in size or amenities between the two room choices except for the scenic view from the window. However, recent construction of high rise buildings around the hotel has obstructed the “Harbour View” to a minor extent. Most attendees will find “City View” rooms to be quite satisfactory.
